The Tuesday Check

Grit got me through. Then I tried to live there.

The Tuesday Check is a ten-minute, one-to-ten look at your mind, body, and soul. It is the same check I use with the people I coach.

You leave with one small practice for this week. Your numbers are not stored or sent. They stay on this page. Next step: the free 25-minute consult.

Guy’s 10-minute walk

Cartoon titled The 10-minute walk, in three steps. In a funk: Guy slumps on the couch under a tangled grumpy cloud. Manual override: he points at the door and shouts, Just move! Mind clears. Every time: he strides outside, smiling, as the sun winks.

Or try Guy’s 10-minute walk. After morning coffee, tell yourself “just move” and walk for two minutes. On a better day, walk for ten. Two minutes is enough.

Guy: “It has worked every time I’m in a funk or depressed. I just tell myself, just move. At first it’s a manual override of how I feel. But once I do it, my mind clears. Every time.”

Most people I talk to are fine. Ask anybody. Their spouse will tell you otherwise, and so will their lower back.

Fine is not a number. So I ask for one. Mind, body, soul, one to ten. Then three questions I ask everyone before we work together, including the one people skip: who comes after you?

It takes ten minutes. It does not fix anything. It shows you where to start, which is the part most of us avoid with great discipline.
